Professional Testing (EMI), Inc., is currently seeking candidates for the following positions:

Product Safety/Quality Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Communicate regulatory agency requirements to clients
• Perform Product Safety evaluations of clients’ products for worldwide regulatory approval
• Prepare test reports and other documentation to support the appropriate regulatory compliance (NRTL, CB-Scheme, CE, etc.)
• Perform quality systems activities including internal audits, and corrective and preventive actions

 Requirements

• BSEE preferred
• 5 years of experience preferred
• Knowledge of Product Safety test and evaluation requirements, specifically but not limited to: 60950, 61010, 60601
• Ability to prepare documentation for agency submittals
• Knowledge of quality systems methodologies
• Self motivated
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

 EMC Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards of quality and safety.
• Read and understand requirements for the testing to be performed.
• Conduct military standard and/or commercial emissions and immunity testing per the applicable requirements.
• Accurately document testing results.
• Confirm the calibration status of all internal test equipment.  Perform calibration of equipment.
• Act as a liaison with clients during witnessed testing.
• Develop and validate test methods to support unique customer requirements.
• Understand and take action based on changes to test standards.
•  Troubleshoot test failures to determine causes.

 Requirements

• 4-year electrical engineering degree
• Experience with PC hardware and test equipment
• Ability to read and follow standards, procedures, and test plans
• Detail oriented
• Self motivated
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers is a plus.
