Professional Testing (EMI), Inc., is currently seeking candidates for the following positions:
Product Safety/Quality Systems Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Communicate regulatory agency requirements to clients
- Perform Product Safety evaluations of clients’ products for worldwide regulatory approval
- Prepare test reports and other documentation to support the appropriate regulatory compliance (NRTL, CB-Scheme, CE, etc.)
- Perform quality systems activities including internal audits, and corrective and preventive actions
Requirements
- BSEE preferred
- 5 years of experience preferred
- Knowledge of Product Safety test and evaluation requirements, specifically but not limited to: 60950, 61010, 60601
- Ability to prepare documentation for agency submittals
- Knowledge of quality systems methodologies
- Self motivated
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
EMC Test Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Read and understand requirements for the testing to be performed.
- Conduct military standard and/or commercial emissions and immunity testing per the applicable requirements.
- Accurately document testing results.
- Confirm the calibration status of all internal test equipment. Perform calibration of equipment.
- Act as a liaison with clients during witnessed testing.
- Develop and validate test methods to support unique customer requirements.
- Understand and take action based on changes to test standards.
- Troubleshoot test failures to determine causes.
Requirements
- 4-year electrical engineering degree
- Experience with PC hardware and test equipment
- Ability to read and follow standards, procedures, and test plans
- Detail oriented
- Self motivated
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers is a plus.
